Dear Colleagues

The Asian Congress on Inherited Metabolic diseases (ACIMD) is the official scientific meeting of the Asian Society of Inherited Metabolic Diseases (ASIMD) which organize every 2-3 yrs. Topics in the meeting are generally broad and inclusive, ranging from more technology-oriented topics such as gene therapy, molecular genetics, newborn screening and nutritional management. Inherited metabolic diseases are basically biochemical genetic disorders cause by enzyme deficiencies. These biochemical disorders are: amino acid disorders, organic acid disorders, fatty acid oxidation disorders, mitochondrial disorders, and lysosomal storage disorders. Topics will include newborn screening and public health policy.

Thailand has been nominated to organize the 6th ACIMD which will be in Bangkok, March 22-24, 2023.
